SLX - for those who heed the call of the mountain bike - Like the DEORE XT, the new SLX M7100 also features innovations Shimano such as the innovative 12v cassette with MICRO SPLINE system with 10-45 or 10-51 developments, 1x12 or 2x12 connecting rods, a 12v chain specific to SLX, 2 or 4 piston disc brakes, fully adjustable ISPEC-EV controls, 12v optimized bushings, derailleur and rear derailleur, bringing premium technologies closer to those who discover authentic mountain biking.

- Cassette: 12v cassettes. The SLX integrates MICRO SPLINE core anchor technology, and are available in 10-45T finishes for smaller sprocket jumps, and 10-51D in development for a wider transmission range. Both cassettes incorporate HYPERGLIDE + technology, which allows for fast and very quiet shifts. The cassettes feature an aluminum spider to hold the eleven steel sprockets, as well as the larger aluminum sprocket, to achieve the optimum result in terms of durability, weight and riding style.
