The GTC5455PC is a cordless 54v hedge trimmer which is powered by Black & Decker Dual Volt batteries. Designed to trim thick branches and neaten hedgerows quicker and easier than previous generations of battery powered tools, this machine is part of Black Decker's new Dual Volt range which allows the gardener to take advantage of the high power operation afforded by recent advances in lithium ion battery technology.As well as providing the higher voltages necessary for these new tools, Dual Volt batteries are backwards compatible with Black & Decker's 18v lithium ion system, meaning you can share one battery between a huge range of garden & DIY power tools.

Please note that while a Dualvolt battery can be used in an 18v tool, this won't work the other way round. That is, an 18v battery won't work in a 54v Dualvolt tool.
